On 4th of this month Apple introduced its localized music stores in 56 different countries giving the users freedom like no other when it comes to listening music. The countries include Russia, India and Indonesia among many others. Yesterday Apple introduced 42 new countries which will have localized video stores on iTunes. With it Apple is certainly expanding its reach when it comes to media consumption.
Apple already has quite a distinct advantage when it comes to Media. Apple has reach to almost 60% of population of the world. The closest to Apple is Microsoft which has reach to 14% of world’s total population. Google is sitting at 10% reach. Amazon has 5%. Amazon do leads the way when it comes to Books.
